Andrés Franco

Executive Director

Andrés Franco is a nonprofit executive and orchestral conductor. He is the Executive Director of Attack Theatre and previously held leadership roles as Executive Director of City of Asylum and DNAWORKS. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of International Free Expression Project and Wesley Family Services, the WQED Community Advisory Board, and the DNAWORKS Advisory Board.

As a conductor, Andrés has served as Resident Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony and Music Director of the Signature Symphony. He has appeared as a guest conductor with the Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Nashville, Omaha, and St. Louis symphonies. Internationally, he has conducted the Bogotá Philharmonic, Medellín Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, and Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Perú.

A native of Medellín, Colombia, Andrés resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, Victoria Luperi, Associate Principal Clarinet and Principal E-flat Clarinet of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
